Neosulfox P

Composition: 1 g oral powder contains:

Sulfadimidin sodium 100 mg

Neomycin sulfate 60 mg

Oxytetracycline hydrochloride 40 mg

Indications: Treatment of primary and secondary bacterial infections of digestive,

respiratory and urinary tract caused by microorganisms sensitive to sulphadimidine,

neomycin and oxytetracycline in calves, piglets, lambs and poultry.

Contraindications: Use of the drug is contraindicated in animals hypersensitive to the

active drug compounds.Do not give medicine to laying hens and adult ruminants and

pigs.

Side effects: Sometimes, especially after long use, the drug can cause indigestion and

vomiting followed by diarrhea, kidney damage, anorexia, allergy, photosensitization,

pruritus, hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, growth disturbance.

Target species: calves, piglets, lambs and poultry.

Dosage and method of administration: The drug is used orally mixed with food or

dissolved in drinking water. The total daily dose for all species is 1 g powder per 4 kg of

body weight. The daily dose should be divided and given half a dose in the morning and

half at night (for 12 hours).The mass treatment of piglets given 500 g of powder to 100

kg of food or 300 g of powder in 100 L of drinking water. Poultry gives 250 g of powder in

100 L of drinking water.

Instructions for proper use of drugs: Make a fresh solution and medicated food daily.

Do not give another drinking water before animals drink all water medicated.

During the treatment, provide tot animals sufficient water for drink.In case of

hypersensitivity reaction, discontinue the treatment, apply the antihistamines and

glucocorticoids.Medicine apply only to those species and categories of animals that is

indicated.

Withdrawal period: Meat and edible organs of treated animals should not be used for

human consumption during treatment, and 14 days after the last application of drug.Do

not give medicine to laying hens.

Special warnings

For use on animals

The drug is not administered to adult ruminants because it can cause the disorder

saprophytic microflora, indigestion and vitamin K deficiency.The drug is not given to adult

pigs.The drug is also not used for laying hens.

The drug should not be given concurrently with chloramphenicol, penicillins and

cephalosporins. Also, the drug is not administered concurrently with antacids,

adsorbents, laxatives, and salts of calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc and bismuth.

Neomycin is incompatible with oxidizing agents and chloramphenicol, and sulfonic acids

and related compounds precipitate neomycin.Tetracyclines chelate divalent and trivalent

cations, and their absorption decreases in the presence of these ions.Vitamins B

complex such as nicotinamide, nicotinic acid, folic acid and choline antagonistic effect on

sulfonamides.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The drug is not used during pregnancy and lactation.The drug is not applied in laying

hens.

Special considerations for persons administering the veterinary medicinal product

to animals

When applying the drug you should avoid direct contact with the skin and mucous

membranes, or eyes.After completed preparation and application of the drug to wash

your hands. People hypersensitive to sulfonamides, tetracyclines and / or

aminoglycosides should avoid contact with drug.In case of allergic reactions or other

forms of adverse effects in people who give animals a drug, it is necessary to contact a

doctor immediately and show him the packaging or instructions for drug users.

Special precautions for disposal and destruction of drug

Unused drug or drug residues shall be destroyed in accordance with applicable

regulations.

Special considerations for storing drugs: Drug store in original container at

temperatures up to 25˚C. Keep out of the reach of children.

Shelf life in original packaging: 2 years

Shelf life after dilution in water or mixing in food: use immediately
