Neoamoxicillin P 20%
Composition: 1 g oral powder contains:
Amoxicillin trihydrate 200 mg
Indications: Treatment of infections of the respiratory and gastrointestinal tract in swine
caused by sensitive strains A.pleuropneumoniae, S.suis, H.parasuis, P. Multocida, E.
coli and broilers by sensitive strains of E.coli, Cl. Perfringens and Campylobacter spp.
Contraindications:
Application of the drug is contraindicated in animals hypersensitive to amoxicillin and
other β-lactam antibiotics and cephalosporins.
The drug is not indicated for ruminants, horses and small herbivores (rabbit, guinea pig,
hamsters, gerbils).
The drug does not use in laying hens.
Side effects: rarely, after oral administration over a prolonged period of time it can lead
to suppression of the saprophytic bacterial flora and diarrhea. In the case of
hypersensitivity reactions, administer antihistamines and corticosteroids.

Dosage and method of administration
The drug is administered orally, dissolved in drinking water, milk or milk replacer, at a
dose of 15-20 mg of amoxicillin / kg bw as follows:
For broilers, dissolved in drinking water:
• under 4 weeks of age (average body weight of 1200g) :48-60g of powder/100L of
drinking water
• from 4 weeks of age (average body weight over 1200g) :60-80 g powder / 100 L of
drinking water
For pigs, dissolved in drinking water or milk or milk substitute:
• the age of 6 months (up to 100kg bw) 80-100g of powder/100L of drinking water
• from the age of 6 months (over 100kg bw) 120-150g powder/100L of drinking water
The drug is used during 5 days, and before giving the animals water should be withheld
for at least 2 hours. Solution of the drug is administered immediately after preparation.

Special precautions for use of the drug in animals
The drug should be dissolved in a small volume of water, then stir in the estimated total
amount of water. Before drug administration preparation of antibiogram for isolated
microorganisms,because of the increasing development of resistance to aminopenicillins
and known resistance of bacteria that produce enzymes beta-lactamase.The most
common drug- resistant bakteria from the genera Proteus, Klebsiella, Enterobacter, and
Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Drug, if possible, it is best applied by before feeding.
Withdrawal period: meat of broilers is not for human consumption during treatment and
3 days after the last application, and 9 days for meat of pigs. Do not use in laying hens.
Special warnings
For use on animals
Not recommended for concomitant use with other bacteriostatic drugs (tetracycline,
tiamfenicol, fluofenicol,erythromycin)because they lead to a reduction of antibacterial
activity of amoxicillin.
In the absence of incompatibility studies, the drug must not be mixed with other
veterinary drugs. Although no data on the teratogenic effects of amoxicillin on laboratory
animals, treatment of pregnant animals should be taken with caution and under the
supervision of veterinarian. The drug is not indicated for use in laying hens.
Special considerations for persons administering the veterinary medicinal product
to animals
Due to the possible occurrence of irritation and contact dermatitis should avoid direct
contact with eyes, or skin and mucose .During drug application should wear protective
equipment (protective clothing, gloves, mask), and hands washed after each drug
administration.
Keep out of the reach of children .If appear allergic reaction should seek medical help.
People sensitive to penicillin should not participate in drug preparation.
Special precautions for disposal and destruction of drug
Unused product or waste material should be disposed of in accordance with applicable
regulations.
Special considerations for storing drugs
The drug kept in the original packaging, protected from light, at temperatures below 25 °
C.
Keep out of the reach of children.
Shelf life in original packaging: 2 years
Shelf life after opening: used immediately
Shelf life after reconstruction: prepare fresh solution daily
