Neositol

Composition: 1 ml solution for injection contains:

Levamisole hydrochloride 75mg

Indications: Treatment of parasitic diseases in cattle, sheep and pigs caused by larval

forms of adult and gastro-intestinal (Bunostonum spp., Chabertia spp., Cooperia spp.,

Haemonnchus spp., Nematodirus spp., Neoascaris spp., Oesofagostonum spp.,

Ostertagia spp., Strongyloides spp., Trychostrongilus spp. and Trichuris spp.) and lung

nematodes (Protostrongilus rufescens and Dictiocaulus spp.) in cattle and sheep, as well

as infections caused by nematodes (Ascaris suum, Hyostrongylus rubidus,

Oesophagostomum dentatum, Strongyloides Ransome, Metastrongylus spp. ) in pigs.

Contraindications: The product should not be given to animals hypersensitive to

levamisole. It should not be given together with organophosphate or diethylcarbamazin

citrate and anthelmintics that have an effect similar to nicotine, such as pyranthel and

methyrdin, 14 days before, during, and 14 days after treatment. In case of signs of

hypersensitivity such as transient hyper, tearing, muscle tremors, tremors, vomiting,

discontinue therapy and atropine implemented. This product is not indicated for the cows

and sheep in lactation.The drug does not apply to animals with diseased kidneys and

liver. It does not apply to other species of animals for which the drug is not indicated.

The drug is not indicated for pigs whose body weight is below 10kg.

Side effects: Sometimes the application site appeared weak swelling. Very rarely

hypersensitivity reactions may occur, transient hypersalivation, tearing, muscle tremors,

tremor, vomiting. In such cases atropine should be applied.In the course of treatment,

may be associated with cough, cramps, diarrhea and collapse.

Target species: Cattle, sheep and pigs.

Dosage and method of administration: Cattle and sheep, the drug is administered in

one dose subcutaneously, and pigs in one dose intramuscularly.

The preparation should be applied in the following doses:

Cattle: 1mL/10kg of body weight (for cattle weight 300kg or more, the maximum dose is

30ml)

Sheep: 1mL/10kg of body weight (sheep body weight greater than 90kg gain maximum 6

ml preparation).

Pigs: 1mL/10kg of body weight (pig body weight 150kg and above the maximum dose is

15ml).

Instructions for proper use of drugs:

The drug should be given to pigs only intramuscular. At animals with severe infestation

drug application should be repeated after 2-4 weeks.

Since the product does not kill the eggs, after application of the preparation should

safely remove the feces or switch herd to another pasture.

Withdrawal period: Meat of treated animals is not for human consumption 28 days after

the last application of the medicine. Do not use for animals whose milk is for human

consumption.

Special warnings

For use on animals

Levamisole is not used at the same time, or two weeks before and after anthelmintic and

ectocids based on organophosphates and anthelmintic diethylcarbamazine, and

pyranthel and morantel because these drugs increase the toxic effect of

levamizol.Levamizole inhibits the binding of rifamicine to plasma proteins.In cattle triple

therapeutic doses leads to the appearance of the typical signs of intoxication and in pigs

and sheep quadruple therapeutic dose.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The drug may be applied in pregnancy but its use should be avoided in the last month of

pregnancy.It does not apply to animals in lactation if milk is used for human

consumption.

Special considerations for persons administering the veterinary medicinal product

to animals

For people who handle the drug there are possible reactions of hypersensitivity. Avoid

direct contact with eyes, skin and mucous membranes. After drug application, wash your

hands to prevent sensitization and allergies. In the case of a hypersensitivity reaction

seek medical help.

Special precautions for disposal and destruction of drug

Unused medication or waste material shall be destroyed in accordance with applicable

regulations.

Special considerations for storing drugs: Store in original container at temperatures

up to 25°C. Keep out of the reach of children.

Shelf life: 2 years.

Shelf life after first opening: Use drug immediately.
