Doksilan C 20

Composition: 1 g oral powder contains:

Doxycycline hyclate 200 mg

Ascorbic acid 40 mg

Indications: Treatment of infections of the respiratory tract of calves (pneumonia,

bronchopneumonia), pigs (atrophic rhinitis, enzootic pneumonia, pasteurellosis,

pleuropneumonia) and poultry (infectious sneezing, CRD, infectious sinusitis, coli-

bacillosis, salmonellosis, psittacosis), and other infections caused by microorganisms

sensitive to doxycycline.

Contraindications: The drug is contraindicated at animals hypersensitive to doxycycline

and other tetracyclines.The drug must not be given to the functional vermillion ruminants,

horses, laying hens.

Side effects: Sometimes, especially after prolonged drug administration in large doses,

can lead to gastrointestinal disorders accompanied by diarrhea, vomiting, and anorexia.

Also, hypersensitivity reactions are possible.

Target species: calves, pigs and poultry.

Dosage and method of administration:

Calves: 1 g/20 kg of body weight

Pigs: 1250-1500 g /1 t food or 500-750 g/1000 L drinking water

Poultry: 750 g/1000 L drinking water (equivalent 20 mg of doxycycline /1 kg of body

weight)

The drug is used with drinking water or concentrated food, once a day, and treatment is

required for 3-5 days and a maximum of 7 days.

Instructions for proper use of the drug

For use on animals

When the drug is given with drinking water, it is necessary to make a fresh solution of

medication daily. In order to have successful therapy (better drug consumption), it is

recommended to stop giving drinking water to animals a few hours before treatment.

Withdrawal period: Meat of treated calves is not for human consumption during

treatment and 12 days after the last drug administration; the meat of pigs during the

course of treatment and 10 days after the last drug administration, and the meat of

poultry during treatment and 7 days after the last drug administration.

Special warnings

When applying the drug, should avoid direct contact with skin, mucous membranes, and

eyes.

Special considerations for storing drugs: Store in original container at temperatures

up to 25 ° C, out of reach of children.

Special precautions for disposal and destruction of drug:

Unused drug or drug residues shall be destroyed in accordance with applicable

regulations.

Method of issuance: On prescription of veterinarian.

Shelf life: 2 years.

Shelf life after opening: dissolved drug use within 24 hours.
