Composition: 1 ml suspension for injection contains:

Benzylpenicillin-procaine 300,000 i.u.

Indications: The preparation is intended for the treatment of primary and secondary

infections of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary and respiratory tract and soft tissue

infections and skin caused by microorganisms sensitive to the active substance of the

preparation (such as actinomycosis, diphtheria calves, mastitis, metritis, pneumonia,

wound infections, footrot in sheep)

Contraindications: The drug is not administered to animals hypersensitive to penicillin

and cephalosporins. Also, this product is not given to pregnant sows and gilts, small

herbivores and sport horses 2 weeks before the race.

Side effects: At treated animals there may occur hypersensitivity reactions (allergy,

anaphylaxis), and nerve disorders (excitation, inkoordinacija, ataxia, vomiting) and

possible “vaginal wash” and abortions in sows and gilts.

Target species: horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs and cats

Dosage and method of administration: The drug is administered i.m., in daily dose:

Horses and cattle: 2-3mL/60kg tm (therapeutic dose of benzylpenicillin-procaine –

10-15mg/kg of body weight)

Sheep: 0.5 mL/10kg of body weight

Pigs: 1.0 mL/10kg of body weight

Cats: 0.12 – 0.25 mL (1-2kg of body weight)

0.25 – 0.50 mL (2-5kg of body weight)

Dogs: 0.12 – 0.25 mL (1-2kg of body weight)

0.25 – 0.50 mL (2-5kg of body weight)

0.50 – 0.75 mL (5-10kg of body weight)

0.75 – 1.00 mL (10-25kg of body weight)

1.00 – 2.00 mL (25 kg or more)

Depending on the severity of the infection therapy lasts (usually 3-5 days)

Instructions for proper use of medicine:

Do not give medication i.v. and intratraheal.If the dose for cattle and horses greater than

20 mL, in 10 mL of pigs and the sheep and goats of 5 mL, the drug is administered at

least two places.It is possible an allergic reaction at people who come into contact with

drugs.Before use shake vial well.

Withdrawal period: Meat of treated cattle, sheep and pigs is not for human

consumption during treatment and 7 days after the last application of drugs.Milk of cows

is not used for human consumption during treatment or 3.5 days (84 h) after the last

application of drugs .Drug does not apply in lactating sheep or a horse whose meat is

intended for human consumption.

Special considerations:

For use in animals:

Broad-spectrum antibiotics and erythromycin reduced antimicrobial effect of

penicillin.Neomicin reduces absorption penicillin in the digestive tract and oksifenbutazon

and probenecid reduce the excretion of penicillin in kidneys.Penicillin increases the

effect of anticoagulants.Metacilin, cloxacillin, cephalosporins, polymyxin B and

aminoglycoside antibiotics enhance the effect of penicilin.Drug is not given along with

bacteriostatic antimicrobial drugs.

Use in pregnancy and lactation:

The product is not used in pregnant sows and gilts.Not given in lactating sheep whose

milk is used for human consumption.

Special considerations for persons administering the veterinary medicinal product

to animals:

Penicillin in 10% resulting in people hypersensitive reaction.People hypersensitive to

penicillin should not handle this drug.

When applying the drug should avoid direct contact with the drug skin and mucous

membranes, or eyes.Hands after each application should be washed and medicine kept

out of the reach of children.If the signs of hypersensitivity consult a physician.

Special precautions for disposal and destruction of drug

Unused drug or drug residues shall be destroyed in accordance with applicable

regulations.

Special considerations for storing drugs:

Store in original container at temperatures up to 25˚C,

Keep out of the reach of children.

Shelf life: 2 years.

Shelf life after first opening: 28 days, at a temperature up to 25 ˚ C

Method of issue: on prescription of veterinarian.

Packaging: bottle of dark glass type II of 100 mL, closed with bromobutyl rubber

stopper and aluminum cap
